I eventually decided to invest in a camera so i can start to film and photograph in my own time. I decided to go for the Canon 60d after alot of research and discusion, but mainly because because it films in 1080p and can shoot in 50 frames which is great for filming. Also its a good camera for stills which will help me improve as i dont know as much about stills as i do about video.

I got booked on a photography course so i could learn the basics and the do and donts of what to do. The course was excellent and i learnt loads more than i ever thought i would.

Hers a couple of shots that i liked from my photo course.

all thats left is to go out and shoot more photos and videos.

snowsports

The other month i downloaded footage from whitelines magazine for an editing competition to for absinthe films (a professional snowsports media company). Seeing as i am doing a media corse and want to get into sports filming/photography i decided id give it a go.

The edit I did I thought was ok, allthough i feel i could do better, never the less i uploaded it to mpora and submitted it to whitelines magazine and low and behold they posted my video on the websites home page.

well hers my edit from my youtube page so see what you think.

I was shocked that whitelines said that my edit 'certainly got us stoked to go riding'

and this is how they described it 'It’s got a super chilled hip hop soundtrack lubricating the ears, while the eyes indulge in a feast of slow-mo powder turns, tree runs and slick laid back spins.'

The main thing that amazed me was the fact that in just one day, i got over 1500 hits for my video on mpora's site :)

At college we use the Adobe flash software. It's basicly used for animation and I have had a little go on it the other day to learn the basics to it and being sad as i am staying in on a firday night. I thought i'l have a look at people's work they have done on it so i check out youtube and i have found a great peace of animation. check it out

Hey

Welcome to our blog this is Lewis Sullivan here and this is just about why me and my fellow partner in Crime Andy Timonthy made this blog. We made this blog just to show off some of our media work that we are doing at college, stuff from the videos we have made and animation that we created and all other sorts of things so enjoy the things to come.
